Pak Chong Entrance

The Pak Chong side is convenient for travelers staying in Pak Chong or visiting the northern side of Khao Yai.
The entrance is reached via Thanarat Road and leads toward the main park facilities and visitor center area. The official distance from Bangkok to the Pak Chong entrance is approximately 210 km.

Pak Chong is also a convenient base for hotels, resorts, restaurants, and other attractions around Khao Yai. If your hotel is in Pak Chong or the northern Khao Yai area, the Pak Chong entrance will generally be the more convenient choice.

Prachinburi Entrance

The Prachinburi side provides access from the east and is convenient for travelers staying in Prachinburi or approaching Khao Yai from Bangkok via Nakhon Nayok and Prachinburi. The park’s Prachinburi entrance is approximately 202 km from Bangkok, according to Department of National Parks information.

This side can be a better option when your accommodation is in Prachinburi or when your travel route is coming from the eastern side of the park. The Prachinburi route also provides access to attractions and viewpoints on this side of Khao Yai.

Travel directly to Khao Yai by private taxi from Bangkok, Suvarnabhumi Airport or Don Mueang Airport. Travel times are generally around 2 to 3 hours, depending on your pickup location, destination and traffic conditions.

Pickup is available near Asok BTS Station in Bangkok, with Khao Yai National Park Checkpoint as the destination.
Travel times are estimates and may be longer during weekends, public holidays and periods of heavy traffic.
The final travel time also depends on your hotel or destination within the Khao Yai area.
